GL Excess v1.1a

GL Excess is an OpenGL benchmark that actually makes very little demands on the hardware. Scenes with over 200 or even 400 frames per second are not uncommon here. But it offers some remarkable effects.

GL Excess 32 Bit
GL Excess 16Bit

Here the GeForce4 MX440 can only with difficulty the level the other two cards from nVidia. The effects seem to benefit significantly more from the fill rate than from high memory bandwidth, mainly due to the very synthetic character of this test, as the small gaps of the GeForce trio make clear.
