No relaxation with the viruses
As the US security company MessageLabs announced, the number of virus-infected e-mails has doubled since last year. Of the e-mails examined in the last six months, 2 million were infected with viruses or worms.
The 'Klez' worm in particular stood out ingloriously. This worm is an epidemic plague, according to MessageLabs director John Harrington. It is precisely this generation of viruses that makes it clear that the risk of viruses continues to rise despite the ever-improving security precautions. In contrast, the 'LoveLetter' virus that hit the headlines two years ago is downright harmless. Virus protection in today's world is almost a must.
