No parental controls for Xbox in Europe
Microsoft's Xbox apparently ships across Europe without parental controls. A kind of parental control has been announced for America, but no details are known yet. Perhaps it is a question of a password query that is used for games with critical ratings.
Or a general possible suppression of blood, which would then require support from the game developers. Boris Schneider-Johne, PR manager at Xbox, confirmed that there would be no such function in Europe and justified it with the non-uniform standards in Europe. In Germany alone there is the UKS (entertainment software self-regulation) and FSK (voluntary self-regulation for the film industry).
