No Duron MP

After many dreamed of a dual board with two Duron MP processors, this dream has now vanished into nothing. According to AMD, the Duron MP does not meet the performance requirements of a server CPU.

From the new official Roadmap (see below) the Duron MP processor has even completely disappeared, strange enough that AMD is only now citing the lack of performance as the reason. According to our source, the problem of placement on the market and the poor benefit for AMD are more likely a reason. Many have already proven that the Duron can be used on dual mainboards, but similar to the Athlon MP, which is actually just a normal Athlon XP, AMD would have problems with the Duron MP, for a relatively small group of customers an extra price for the Enforce Duron MP. But since the Athlon MP processors are also affected by the drop in prices, many will wait until the prices for the server CPUs are attractive enough.
