New stepping on the GeForce 4 Ti4600
Nvidia has quietly introduced a new stepping for its top GPU, the GeForce 4 Ti4600, the current stepping is A3. According to the colleagues from VR-Zone, the new stepping can be overclocked a little better than the previous A2 stepping.
After testing a Triplex GeForce 4 Ti4600 with the A2 stepping, the colleagues received another model, but already with the A3 stepping. In the test carried out so far, the A2 stepping could be operated at a maximum of 320 MHz, at 325 MHz it crashed. The model with the A3 stepping could be overclocked to 325 MHz, but didn't want to work with 330 MHz either. In the meantime, Nvidia has also changed the printing on the GPU, this can be seen clearly in the last two pictures.
