New Radeon graphics chip
It seems that ATI is bringing a new version of the Radeon graphics chip onto the market, which, like the Radeon VE, is supposed to target the low-cost market. Compared to the normal Radeon, the Radeon LE will have 2 rendering pipelines, but the complete T&L unit of the original Radeon.
The lower performance is caused by a 64-bit DDR-RAM interface, which has 32 MB drives. In addition, the core clock of the Radeon LE will be reduced to 150MHz and the chip will not have the HyperZ feature. The price should be around 100 US dollars.
