New plug & play for USB
The company Silicon, a hardware manufacturer from Israel, has filed a new plug & play technology with the patent office. This 'USB Self-Install' technology is based on the fact that the drivers required by the operating system are stored directly in the USB hardware.
When the device is connected, the operating system would automatically load the driver that would otherwise be from CD or floppy disk would come from the hardware itself. This would eliminate the annoying search for various drivers.
