New multi-monitor graphics card from Matrox
The Canadian graphics card manufacturer Matrox is bringing a new graphics card onto the market which can control up to eight monitors at the same time. Four chips from the G450 series are used on this card, each of which can control two monitors at the same time.
It is therefore clear that no new performance records in the 3D sector can be expected from this graphics card either. Presumably the new graphics card is supposed to replace the G200 MMS, which is still based on the aging G200 chip and can control a maximum of four monitors at the same time.
Matrox will not be represented at this year's CeBit either an indication that you don't have a new chip up your sleeve yet. It also seems to be emerging that Matrox intends to concentrate more on the business market.
