New HP OmniBook 500
With the HP Omnibook 500, Hewlett-Packard is introducing a new sub-notebook that is primarily intended for frequent travelers who nevertheless have high technical demands. The notebook is only 2.5 cm thick and weighs 1.6 kg. It also has a 12.1 inch XGA active matrix display.
On the outside, it has a magnesium look and has a Inside through a modem. Some models are also LAN-capable. The HP Omnibook 500 comes on the market in February 2001. It is equipped with the new Mobile Pentium III or Mobile Celeron with 500 MHz. Buyers can exchange additional devices such as CD-RW, DVD drives, storage adapters and power supplies.
