New dispute over flat rate fees for Internet access

AOL has plans to work with T-Online to enforce low-cost flat rates at Telekom, from which all competitors should benefit. This emerges from a report by the business magazine 'Capital'.

AOL boss Heddendorp demanded in a letter to the soon-to-be T-Online CEO Holtrop a monthly flat rate for surfing, with the price below 50 marks Limit should keep.

In addition, Telekom spokesman Lissek only said that they are not pursuing any common goals with AOL. Holtrop also denies that he had received a letter from Heddendorp. With a corresponding flat rate offer of less than 50 DM, Telekom would have to offer its competitors a flat rate of around 20 DM.
