New Asus A7V bios faulty

The Asus released Bios version 1006 for the A7V yesterday showed a bug that led to massive problems when booting the PC. Asus has now released an intact version of the new BIOS. The colleagues at Planet 3DNow have also received instructions from Asus on how to limit the damage.

'For people who already flashed yesterday's, I recommend setting the FSB to 100MHZ (better less) in the BIOS, system performance settings to 'Normal' and completely switch off the OnBoard Promise Controller under boot (Load OnBoard ATA BIOS to 'disable'). If this does not work or you have enormous problems getting into the BIOS, you should activate the JumperMode (jumper JEN to 1/2) and set the dip switches 1-5 for the FSB to 'On' [...] Then the computer should start up and boot properly under DOS and OS, then load or flash the new correct 1006 Final BIOS .
