Napster before the final end?

Napster is probably about to end. An impending bankruptcy is said to be imminent. Napster boss Konrad Hilbers quit his job yesterday. This was triggered by the unsuccessful takeover talks with the Bertelsmann Group, according to Hilbers.

In these talks, the Napster board of directors is said to have rejected an offer from Bertelsmann that would have ensured the continued existence of the music exchange. Should it come to isolation, all rights to the Napster brand as well as the technology of the swap exchange will go directly to Bertelsmann.
