Mozilla 1.3 will bring spam filters
Version 1.3 of the e-mail client integrated in the Mozilla browser suite will come with a spam filter. Since version 1.2 is still a long time coming, I will probably have to wait a little longer, but this approach is to be welcomed.
In contrast to the spam filter integrated in the e-mail program M2 of Opera 7, about whose functionality almost nothing is known, the functionality of the Mozilla spam filter is open, as was to be expected. If you want to deal with this matter in more detail, you should take a look at the text A Plan For Spam published by Paul Graham. Basically, the principle is based on the fact that the user marks spam among the incoming e-mails and Mozilla learns over time which e-mails are to be regarded as spam and which are not. One day it should also be possible to choose between several spam filter plugins, but in the development phase you are set to one plugin.
