Mozilla 1.0 Release Candidate 1

Mozilla 1.0 Release Candidate 1

The development team of the open source browser has released the first release candidate of the long-awaited version 1.0 of Mozilla. This is the last chance to fix errors in the source code before the final version appears.

Since Mozilla 1.0 is still to appear in April, no major changes compared to the RC1 should have any more influence on the final version. Among other things, one of the most reported bugs has now been fixed, namely that the source text display of a page generated using CGI scripts did not work properly. The context menus of the browser have also been revised so that they are now clearer. An innovation that will be particularly appreciated by users who overuse their monitor with high resolutions is that you can now set a minimum font size in the options.

At least Internet Explorer has Mozilla with the new The download manager that can be reached via the tools menu, which supports the resumption of canceled downloads. Users of the Mozilla equivalent to Microsoft Frontpage, the Composer, will appreciate that the created pages can now be transferred to the web server with just one click of the mouse. There have also been some other changes, if you want to get an exact picture of them, you should take a look at the official changelog !
