Microsoft wants access to XP computers

Microsoft has once again changed the 'Product User Rights' (PUR) in its favor and wants to achieve that the customers allow the group automatic downloads and controls on their computers. Only one new statement was added.

According to this, the licensee should acknowledge that Microsoft can automatically check the user's computer for the installed software and automatically download updates for the programs found. Microsoft spokespersons assured, however, that the user still has control over whether the system is updated or not. To what extent this point of the user license violates statutory or private data protection requirements is completely unclear. We can look forward to the review of this point of the license by legal experts.
