Microsoft stops shipping new joysticks

Microsoft is planning to stop shipping the recently shipped SideWinder Force Feedback 2 joystick. The reason for this are problems with mainboards that have a VIA chip as a southbridge.

Microsoft itself has not yet been able to find the exact cause of the error, but a production error on the driver CD can be excluded. p>

However, Microsoft did not want to stop the sale of the copies that had already been delivered, especially since the problem should be solved by a simple driver update. The first beta driver is already available for download, but it is expressly intended for Windows 9x and Windows Me systems.
