Microsoft starts Windows 2000 advertising campaign
Microsoft will (for the time being only in the USA) start a US $ 220 million advertising campaign for Windows 2000 on servers. The motto of this campaign will be 'Software for the Agile Business'.
The reason for this campaign is that Windows 2000 only has a market share of 5% in the server sector, which is far behind Sun and Oracle. While Windows 2000 has these problems in the server area, Windows 2000 is selling well in the end user area.
