Matrox PowerDesk for Linux
The graphics card manufacturer Matrox has now released its 'PowerDesk' configuration software for the Linux operating system. Thus, users of the free operating system can manage the desktop with a graphical user interface, as well as adapt the screen resolution, color depth and refresh rate to their own needs.
Also the dual-head technology, with which one can display several monitors a graphics card can be connected, and the TV output can be easily configured with the tool. The source code of the useful tool, which runs on Linux PCs from XFree86 4.0.2 and requires a Matrox G200, G400 or G450, is freely available and can therefore be viewed by everyone. Matrox obviously hopes that this will provide more support from motivated programmers who are interested in further developing the program. Here you can download the tool !
