As already announced, Intel today lowered the prices of its processors. The price reduction applies to the Pentium 4, Celeron, Xeon and Pentium III-S. Unfortunately, the price reduction of the Pentium 4 only applies to the old Willamette, the prices of the Northwood remained unchanged.
With the old Pentium 4 with a Willamette core, the price reductions of up to 18 percent are quite significant . The Celeron was cheaper by up to 14 percent, the Xeon by 13 percent and the Pentium III-S by 16 percent.
