Low Power AMD for a complete system from Siemens
AMD announced today that Fujitsu Siemens Computers is using an exclusive low power version of the Athlon with a front side bus of 200 MHz in its PC Jetson @ Home design. Since this is not a slimmed-down Athlon XP version, it has to forego its advantages.
These Low power version of the 1.2 GHz AMD Athlon processor reduces the power consumption of the PC. Due to the reduced power consumption, the processor also generates less heat. This enables an extremely quiet PC in a slim housing.
Fujitsu Siemens is presenting a 'Special Edition' of the designer PC Jetson @ Home at CeBIT.
