Little Athlons and Durons
If the rumors of a Japanese website are to be believed, AMD will be releasing a smaller version of the Athlon and Duron processors in the near future.
These will then become the SFF series (Slim Form Factor Series) and are used in compact PC systems such as notebooks or computers with an integrated TFT display. In June the first 1GHz SFF Athlons and 900MHz SFF Durons are supposed to be presented, which should get by with 1.4 volts of operating voltage and have a power consumption of 35 watts. The clock frequency should then be increased further in the subsequent quarters, whereby the operating voltage will also increase slightly.
