Linux driver for GeForce4 from Nvidia
Nvidia has the new Linux drivers ready. Version 1.0-2802 from March 7, 2002 will now also support the new GeForce4 and Quadro4 graphics chips. The drivers now support both OpenGL 1.3 and anisotropic filtering for a better 3D display.
In addition, the GeForce4-MX drivers will contain MPEG acceleration and the Quadro4 drivers will support overlay. The support of the mobile graphics chips and the nForce chip is said to have been improved, according to Nvidia. Unfortunately, nothing more can be found in the short list of new features from Nvidia.
