Leopard with excellent sales

As expected, the new operating system from Apple is enjoying great popularity. After just one month of sales, US sales recently hit the two million mark. A good reason for Apple to declare Mac OS 10.5 Leopard the most successful OS X of all time.

That this cannot measure up to the big competition from Microsoft - Vista sold itself in the first month included OEM versions 20 million times - is obvious. In a direct and more important comparison with its predecessor Tiger, Leopard can clearly stand out on the basis of figures from the NPD Group: The new Mac OS sold 20.5 percent better than its predecessor in the USA in the first month.
