LCD prices are falling
Now is finally happening what everyone has been expecting for a long time. The prices for LCD monitors are going down noticeably. A 15-inch flat screen is now often available for less than 2000Mark.
Some devices were already available for only 1200Mark. Brand manufacturers are also joining this trend. For example, the large screens that have been unaffordable up to now have become cheaper, with 18-inch devices getting a lot of competition from the 17.4-inch devices, because they cost 1500Mark less on average, but have a screen diagonal of 1.5 centimeters smaller. The reasons for this drop in prices are the ever increasing production capacities, but also new manufacturers who want to gain market share with low entry prices. The notebook manufacturers expect that this will not be a flash in the pan and that this trend will continue.
