Laptops with fuel cells soon?

A laptop powered by a fuel cell can be seen at the Hanover Fair. The fuel cell system was developed in cooperation between the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE and LG Electronics. Such a concept was presented four years ago, but at that time it was so big that it was used outside of the laptop.

According to the head of the energy technology department at the Fraunhofer Institute, Dr. Christopher Hebling, you are now done with miniaturization. The task now is to optimize the operational management. The fuel cell produces electricity from hydrogen and air-oxygen, which is stabilized by a voltage converter with 97 percent efficiency from fluctuating 10 to 20 volts to 24 volts.
