KT333 chipset from VIA possibly already in March 2002?
As Johan from Ace's Hardware heard from 'Robert' from Lucky Star Technology via email, their new KTVA333 mainboard will be presented in March 2002. As the name suggests, it is based on the KT333, the successor to VIA's current KT266A chipset.
It is said to offer support for PC-2700 DDR memory and the new ATA-133 standard created by Maxtor. Furthermore, so one speculates at Ace's Hardware , the 0.13µ AthlonXP on 'Thoroughbred' basis, which is to be presented at about the same time, could also run with 166MHz FSB, i.e. 333MHz DDR, and thus the synchronicity of RAM and FSB.
