Japan: Xbox can't prevail
It is not easy for Microsoft with the Xbox, especially in the land of game consoles. According to the latest hardware sales charts from Famitsu, the Microsoft console with 1872 units sold in Japan last week fell far short of Microsoft's expectations.
The top field is still led by the Playstation 2, which clearly set itself apart from the rest of the field with 61,979 units sold. In comparison, the Game Boy Advance, which came to 35,299 units (No. 2 in the charts) and the Game Cube, which is No. 3 with 10,641 units. The old Playstation 1 was only sold 3,036 times, but with this value it beats the Xbox by around 1.6 times as far as the units sold.
