Iwill and GigaByte announce GraniteBay motherboards

It will be officially presented in a few days. Intel's new P4 chipset with DualChannel DDR RAM support. As with the nForce for AMD's Athlon processors, the bandwidth of the memory is to be doubled through a dual memory interface. Now Iwill and GigaByte have announced the first motherboards.

Exact data of the chipset are currently still top secret and will not be published by Intel until November 18th, but some key data can already be extracted from the manufacturers.

The GraniteBay will support AGP3.0, have a dual-channel DDR-RAM interface and will initially be installed on the mainboards with the ICH4 Southbridge.

Unfortunately we are missing more detailed information about the Iwill. So it may well be that the finished board has more features than can be seen at first glance.

As you can see, the Gigabyte board is bursting with every imaginable feature; Gigabit Ethernet, Serial ATA everything desirable is available. Only FireWire is still missing.
