Investigation against Elsa
As it came out in the ELSA AG case, the graphics card manufacturer was probably insolvent at the end of 1999, which is why the Aachen public prosecutor's office has started its investigation. Private individuals had filed charges against Elsa.
As the attorney general in charge Robert Deller confirmed, investigations had been initiated after private individuals had filed charges against Elsa. This notification may also include a late filing for bankruptcy. The insolvency administrator Thomas Georg confirmed that Elsa was already insolvent at the end of 1999. Accordingly, 116 million euros are outstanding for the 3,000 creditors.
