Internet addresses are slowly becoming scarce
Due to the increasingly scarce Internet addresses in Europe, the EU wants to introduce the new version IPv6 of the Internet protocol as quickly as possible. The EU Council of Ministers for Telecommunications in particular spoke out in favor of promoting it.
With the current IPv4 protocol, 4 billion Internet addresses are possible, which is slowly but surely reaching its limits due to the Internet boom of recent years. With the new IPv6 version, only 32 bits are available for an Internet address, so an Internet address can then be 128 bits long.
