Intel's price cuts
Intel has again lowered the prices for the Pentium 3 and Celeron processors. It is noticeable that the prices for the Celeron processors valid in the USA from May 27th should actually only apply from July 15, 2001. The Pentium 4 remains unaffected by this price reduction, since it was massively reduced in price about a month ago.
The Pentium 3 CPUs with less than 933MHz are also left out. In order to get another picture of the overall situation, we have listed them. The price of the Celerons has been significantly reduced, which on the one hand may be due to the pressure of competition, but on the other hand could also indicate the imminent appearance of faster clocked Celerons. According to rumors, the versions with 900MHz and 950MHz will be delivered in the second half of the year.
