Intel Roadmap Confirms Processor Plans
Our assumptions about new Pentium 4 processors have now been confirmed by the current Intel processor roadmap.
According to this, Intel, together with the 2GHz Pentium 4, which is due to appear in the third quarter of this year, will be the between models with a clock of 1600, 1800 and 1900MHz, as required by the manufacturers of complete PCs. This roadmap also shows that the 0.13 µm Pentium 4 with a Northwood core is to come onto the market in October. The 0.13 µm Pentium III, code name Tualatin, is no longer expected for June, but only in the middle of the third quarter.
