Intel presents Pentium III with 1.13 GHz
Intel announced today in a press release the availability of the Pentium III with a clock rate of 1.13 GHz in limited quantities. The price of the CPU, which is more or less generated by overclocking, is 990 $ (2100DM) and thus on par with that of the Pentium III 1GHz.
The operating voltage has been compared with another 3% from 1.7 to 1.75 volts its predecessor increased. The processor is still manufactured in 0.18 µm, which is why the CPU also requires appropriate cooling (In-a-Box for the first time with two fans). The 1.13 GHz Pentium III is currently only available for slot 1 and requires an FSB of 133 MHz with a clock multiplier of 8.5.
