Intel introduces Celeron with 1.3 GHz
Intel has today expanded its Celeron processor family by a model with a clock frequency of 1.3 GHz and would like to continue to attack AMD's Duron, which is now available in clock speeds of up to 1.2 GHz. The new Celeron is manufactured in 0.13 µm and is based on the Tualatin Core.
The price of the processor is at an affordable price of 118 US dollars for 1,000 pieces, but it is compared to the fastest Duron still $ 15 expensive. As usual, this Celeron also finds its place in the Socket 370 mainboard and is operated with a front-side bus of 100 MHz.
