MPEG 2

The target format for all amateur filmmakers is (at least for now) still the DVD and thus a film in the MPEG2 standard. The video material itself is usually available as digital video (DV). For theIn the test, we trusted TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress 4.3.1.222 and converted a 20-minute long and unedited video with a size of almost four gigabytes into a 1.3 gigabyte MPEG2 file.

WMV

If things are going to go fast, one or the other might use the Windows supplied with Windows XP (x64) or available separately as an update Movie Maker version 2.0 back. Because of the probably not so small user base, this benchmark was included in the course. The DV material that has already been used several times is converted to WMV at the 1.7 Mbps bit rate.
