Intel Celeron with 100MHz on January 28th
It took a long time for Intel to finally realize that the 66MHz bus clock of the current Celeron can no longer win a flowerpot, but now the 100MHz Celeron is taking concrete shape.
This is how Intel is planning it with a Celeron clocked at 800MHz with a front side bus of 100MHz on January 28th together with a comprehensive price reduction. With this, Intel is taking a logical step to get a little closer to the AMD Duron. To prepare for the introduction of the new Celeron processors, Intel will also reduce the price of its low-cost CPUs on December 10th. The prices apply to orders of 1000 units:
