Intel again with price reduction
Intel will reduce processor prices by up to 43% for the Pentium PIII 1GHz. This would then cost $ 268 after the price drop.
Intel is trying to compensate for the low demand that has led to an accumulation of stocks. Furthermore, they want to finally stand up to the big competitor AMD, whose comparable system was around $ 150 cheaper in the past. Intel has also announced price reductions between 23% and 30% in the notebook sector and the new P4. The P4 will be available for around $ 644. Intel still expects sales to decline by 15% compared to the previous quarter due to the general lull in the industry.
