Intel accelerates Celeron to 1.8GHz

Intel's new Celeron, which is based on a slimmed-down Pentium 4 Willamette core and was previously available as a 1700MHz version, is now also available as a 1.8GHz version. Compared to the Celeron based on Tualatin (PIII), one can certainly continue to argue about the performance of the CPU, which is equipped with only 128KByte L2 cache.

With a purchase of 1000 pieces, the processor initially costs 103 $ US.
