Inno3D Tornado GeForce3 Ti500 in the test: Against the ATi Radeon 8500

In 16 bit color depth the Inno3D Tornado GeForce3 Ti 500 is almost on par with the PowerMagic Radeon 8500 LE up to a resolution of 1024x768, but clearly overtakes it. The Inno3D Tornado GeForce3 Ti 200, which loses performance in higher resolutions due to the significantly lower clock rate, clearly lagged behind in the test field. But the GeForce3 Ti 500 does not come close to a Radeon 8500 with a retail clock (275Mhz/275Mhz).
In 32-bit color depth theResults are quite different again, here the GeForce3 Ti500 overtakes its competition, only with a resolution of 800x600 it is beaten by the Radeon 8500 with 275 MHz. In the resolutions above it is up to 10% faster than the previous leader!
