Inno3D Tornado GeForce3 in the test: GeForce 3 against Geforce2 Ultra

Quake III Arena

Quake III Arena only uses OpenGL. The first person shooter is characterized by a large number of polygons and complex scenarios. From a resolution of 1024x768x32, the demands on the memory bandwidth of the graphics card are particularly high. Since many games are based on the Quake III engine, the tests with Quake III are very practical. We tested with the settings Normal, Max and High with Release 1.17.

Quake 3 Normal Detail
Quake 3 High Detail

With the high configuration settings, the Geforce3 is from a resolution of 1024x768 very clearly ahead.

Quake 3 Max Detail

With the Max Configuration Settings, a real difference is only noticeable from a resolution of 1024x768. Then the Geforce3 is ahead, its lead is up to 38%.
