Inno3D Tornado GeForce2 Titanium in the test: rip-off or useful addition?
Like the recently released game 'Aquanox', Aquamark is based on the Krass engine. It uses the new DirectX 8 functions excessively, such as pixel shaders, which could not be used in our tests because none of the graphics cards used in the test can do this. Incidentally, the frame rates in Aquanox are well above the values achieved in the benchmark.
Once again, the Ultra can place itself in front of the Titanium and this in turn in front of the Pro. The Pro is up to 8% behind the Titanium and the Ultra can break away again by up to 11%. Once again, the faster chip is only useful for the Titanium in 16Bit, in 32Bit the lead over the Pro is just 3%. And this is exactly where the advantage of the 460MHz fast DDR-RAM of the Ultra becomes apparent. As in all of themTest is the biggest advantage in 32Bit and the highest resolution.
