Inno3D Tornado GeForce2 Titanium in the test: rip-off or useful addition?

3DMark 2001

The big brother of 3DMark 2000 is primarily designed for DirectX 8 features, which so far have only been used by GeForce3 cards. With the predecessors, only partially good results can be expected. This benchmark is an indication of the performance of the graphics cards in future games.

No surprises in 3DMark 2001 either. The Titanium is up to 10% ahead of the Pro, but again the GeForce2 Ultra can defend the top position with up to 12% ahead of the Titanium. Especially with 32-bit color depth and high resolutions, the gap between the Ultra and the Titanium continues to grow. In this case, of course, the memory clock is again particularly important and this is exactly where the Titanium lags behind the GeForce2 Ultra. As with 3DMark 2000, the GeForce2 Titanium can mainly use 16Bit and the high resolutions, where the memory bandwidth is not yet the bottleneck, pull away the GeForce2 Pro thanks to its higher chip clock.
