IDF: AMD steals the show from Intel

At IDF, the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco, AMD Intel tries to steal the show. AMD presented a so-called Solo-2-Board with AMD-8000 chipset and a Clawhammer processor in an exclusive hotel, a few streets away from the Moscone-Convention Center.

In 64-bit mode could be booted with a 64-bit Linux from SuSe, but Windows XP could also be started, even if only in 32-bit mode. According to AMD, the first Clawhammer processors will be available for purchase around the end of this year.
