Hercules ends partnership with nVidia
It has only been four days since ATI and Hercules announced the start of a close partnership. Among other things, the graphics card manufacturer was to receive the exclusive rights to manufacture ATI All-In-Wonder boards in Europe.
Now they went one step further and stopped producing graphics cards with nVidia Chipset one. Only ST Microelectronics Kyro-Chips will continue to provide variety in addition to the ATI cards. Whether this step was ultimately a demand made by ATI for the exclusive rights has not yet been determined. Hercules spokesman Christian Reul stated, however, that the decision was made to take this step due to the outstanding features of the current ATI product range and that they now want to focus more on the multimedia and application area and less on the 'hardcore gamer'.
