Hard disk MP3 player for the car from Traxdata
Traxdata has developed an MP3 player for the car. The mStation can play up to 3000 MP3 tracks in CD quality.
The MP3 files are saved on a 10 GB hard drive which is mounted in the glove compartment, trunk or under the passenger seat. It can then be connected to the car radio via the AUX connection. The supplied display is used for operation, selection of tracks, volume control and sound setting. The display also shows information about the track, such as length and artist. The MP3 files are uploaded via a PC. The hard disk can therefore be pulled out of the assembly device and fits into a 5.25-inch bay of the PC, where it is then addressed via an IDE interface. In addition, software is included with which audio CDs can be converted into MP3 files. Traxdata is expected to present the mStation at CeBIT and it will be available from the end of March for around DM 1600.
