GeForce 8800 GT with 256 MB from Leadtek
The Taiwanese manufacturer Leadtek today presented the 'WinFast PX8800 GT 256MB', the first model of Nvidia's slightly slimmed-down version of the GeForce 8800 GT. Apart from the graphics memory, which has been halved to 256 MB, not much has changed compared to its 'big brother', as already reported .
The memory clock of the Leadtek card is 900 MHz (effectively 1,800 MHz) at the upper end of the clock spectrum specified by Nvidia from 700 to 900 MHz. This value also corresponds to the memory clock of non-overclocked models of the 512 MB version. The scope of delivery includes the role-playing game Neverwinter Nights 2. Information on prices and availability is not yet available.
With the XFX GeForce 8800 GT 600M and the XFX GeForce 8800 GT 670M XXX, according to Geizhals, two cards are already available with prices starting at 172 euros and 175 euros, respectively listed . Some shops give December 6th as the delivery date.
