GeForce 4 from MSI
After press releases from ASUS and Elsa 'got lost' on the Internet, it is now also MSI's turn. One can now assume that the information about the graphics cards was sent on purpose, although nVidia actually wants to present the chip on February 6th.
In the press release only the high-end model was presented. The AGP 8x card G4TI4600-VDT, not exactly a very imaginative name, is powered by a GeForce 4 Ti4600, as the name suggests. This has a clock rate of 300 MHz. The built-in DDR memory can be filled with up to 128 Mbytes of data and runs at a rate of 660 MHz. The first feature mentioned is 'Accuview Antialiasing' from nVidia. In addition to a second BIOS chip, the card also has a DVI-I connection, a video-in and a TV-out. In addition, there is hardware monitoring which is supposed to guarantee security. Games are also included. The best known are 'No One Lives Forever', 'Aquanox' and 'Sacrifice'. The card will be available from March at a proud price of € 499.
