GeForce 2MX is no longer in production

The GeForce 2MX from graphics chip manufacturer nVidia is no longer in production and, as announced, will be replaced by the GeForce 2MX 200 and 400. The GeForce 2MX 400 has a clock frequency of 200MHz, which corresponds to an increase of 25MHz compared to the classic GeForce 2.

However, the bottleneck lies in the memory throughput, so that this small increase in clock frequency does not necessarily mean much to the GeForce 2MX 400 faster than its predecessor. The handicap of the GeForce 2MX 200, which like the GeForce 2MX is operated with 175MHz clock frequency, is its low memory bandwidth of only 64Bit. This graphics chip is by no means recommended for gamers! The first graphics cards with the GeForce 2MX 200/400 are expected this month.
