GeForce 2 successor later than planned

Nvidia does not plan to deliver the GeForce 2 successor, which is currently being developed under the code name 'NV20', in February 2001, instead of starting in January as planned. The presentation of the NV20 has now been postponed to the end of February.

The reasons for this are more on the financial side, because Nvidia still has large stocks of the current GeForce 2 chip, which are leaders in performance. A release of the new chip would mean unnecessary competition for your own product. According to Nvidia's statements, the NV20 is said to have seven times the performance of the GeForce 2 GTS graphics chip.
