Freecom presents cheap USB 2.0 hard drives

After Iomega, Freecom has now also presented a new series of external hard drives for USB 2.0. The Freecom FHD-1 is a fast, external and quiet hard drive. The hard drive with its cool design weighs only 650g and is therefore ideally suited for mobile use.

Due to the curved shape, the drive stands both horizontally and vertically. The FHD-1 is available in three versions, each with 20 GB, 60 GB or 120 GB storage capacity. Freecom offers the hard drive together with a USB 2.0 connection cable, power supply unit and manual on CD. The drive will be available in stores from June 2002 for 199 euros (20 GB version). This makes it exactly 100 euros cheaper than the 20 GB version of the Iomega Portable Hard Drive .
